KEY SHINE INGREDIENTS:
Camellia Oil: This luxurious natural oil has been used for centuries in Asian countries and is renowned for its Hair care benefits. It's packed with vitamins A and E and is a potent free-radical scavenger/antioxidant with anti-inflammatory benefits and fights environmental damage. It's light, fast absorbing, benefits both hair and scalp, and adds a luminous shine.
Hemisqualane: Is a plant-based silicone alternative for hair. It has all of the lightweight, sleek shine and styling benefits of silicones, but without any buildup or weighing hair down. Reduces frizz, provides heat protection, strengthens hair.
Olive Oil Extracts: Naturally-derived from olives which contain nourishing phyto-compounds to support healthy scalp and hair. Another silicone substitute, but without any downsides and many added nutrient benefits. Improves hair health and manageability, adds heat resistance, and shine.
Squalane: Has a silk smooth texture without any greasy feeling. It's a powerful emollient with many scalp and hair benefits. It prevents moisture loss and infuses moisture, strengthens hair, improves shine, offers heat protection, and enhances elasticity to prevent breakage.
MCT (from Coconut Oil): Medium-chain triglyceride oil is a powerhouse ingredient in skin and hair care. It has a very lightweight feel and deeply conditions, moisturizes hair and scalp, tames frizz and dandruff, strengthens hair, and of course adds shine.
Other Natural Oils: Kukui, Argan, Jojoba Meadowfoam, Castor: This all-star lineup of natural oils offers deep nutrition and antioxidant benefits to hair and scalp, but in measured doses because they are a bit heavier in lipid content than the lighter ingredients in the formula. But they are perfectly balanced so as to never weigh down your tresses.
Cyclopentasiloxane (aka LC995): This is the only true silicone ingredient in the Shine formula and it's a winner. Here's why: Many silicone ingredients will cause buildup over time and weigh hair down. But this ingredient is different. It's volatile, meaning it evaporates. So, you get all of the styling benefits, heat protection, and dynamite shine, but without the downsides of other silicone ingredients like the buildup. There is also no environmental impact as another positive because of how this formula is used. (*It fully evaporates, so it does not have an environmental impact.)
Isoeicosane/or/Isohexadecane: These are perfect emollients for hair care products that often serve as a mineral oil substitutes. They leave an amazing satiny texture on skin and hair and imparts a sheen and silkiness to the formula. Elderberry Extracts: This ingredient is the main preservative and also has amazing skin/scalp and hair benefits. (There are no harmful/toxic preservative ingredients in the Shine Formula.)
